SCENE OPENS ON A SOCCER STADIUM AND PICKS UP ON A HOME TEAM PLAYER KICKING THE BALL INTO THE NET; THE FANS CHEER WILDLY. CAMERAS PAN THE STANDS - TWO MEN EXCHANGE ENVELOPES DISCRETELY AND GO THEIR SEPARATE WAYS - ONE MAN STARTS TOWARD THE EXIT BUT TWO ASSAILANTS GRAB HIM AND PULL HIM INTO A DARK, ISOLATED CORRIDOR WHERE HE IS STABBED REPEATEDLY WITH A SILVER STILLETTO. THE ASSAILANTS CARVE THE NUMBERS "666" ON THE VICTIM'S FOREHEAD AND HELP THEMSELVES TO THE ENVELOPE BEFORE LEAVING THE STADIUM.

BARCELONA, SPAIN

CAMERA PICKS UP ON JAMES BOND WALKING A TIGHT ROPE BETWEEN TWO BUILDINGS, THIRTY FIVE FEET ABOVE GROUND. BELOW, GUARDS MAKE THEIR ROUNDS ABOUT THE COURTYARD, UNAWARE OF THE PRESENCE OVERHEAD. JAMES CROSSES THE ROPE SUCCESSFULY AND MAKES HIS WAY TO A STEEL SAFE. HE USES HIS LAZER-BEAM WRIST WATCH TO BURN A HOLE THROUGH THE LOCK AND REMOVES A FILE WITH HIS NAME ON IT. AS HE MAKES HIS WAY OUT HE UNKNOWINGLY SET OFF A SILENT ALARM, ALERTING THE GUARDS TO OPEN FIRE ON HIM. A SHOT GRAZES THE SIDE OF HIS HEAD, HE SLIPS BUT MANAGES TO HANG ON TO THE ROPE. THE GUARDS CONTINUE FIRE AND FINALLY JAMES FALLS TO THE GROUND.

- CLOSE UP ON A MIDDLE-AGED MAN WIPING HIS BROW WITH HIS HANDKERCHIEF. BESIDE HIM, A BEAUTIFUL DWARF WOMAN IN HER EARLY TWENTIES. HE SLIPS HER THE SILVER STILLETTO AND TOGETHER THEY MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE BODY. CAMERA CLOSES IN ON JAMES' FACE AS THE DWARF LEANS OVER AND USES THE STELLETO TO REMOVE A MASK FROM HIS FACE AND REVEALS THE IMPOSTER.

Dwarf

I told you he would'nt make it.

Man

But I am getting closer and closer to where I can see James Bond actually dying.

LONDON, ENGLAND

(SCENE CHANGES TO A WOMEN'S VOLLEBALL MATCH. THE PLAYWERS ARE DRESSED IN BRIGHT SWIMWEAR AND THE GAME IS VERY INTENSE. IN THE STANDS, THE CROWDS ARE INVOLVED IN THE PLAY. CAMERAS PAN SOME PROMINENT MEMBERS OF THE ROYAL FAMILY AND PICK UP ON JAMES BOND MAKING HIS WAY TOWARD THE MAN WHO HAD MARKED HIS VICTIM'S FOREHEAD EARLIER WITH THE NUMBERS 666.)

James Bond

(looking around discreetly) I would have thought you'd prefer to meet at a quiant little restaurant by the seaside.

Man

I've always liked the game of volleyball, Mr. Bond, especially when played by the female gender. Would you care to place a wager on the outcome of the game - you British are such sporting chaps.

James Bond

Get to the business at hand, Turnov. Did you get the information you promised my Government?

Turnov

Patience, Mr. Bond, patience. You sound like you're double parked. (peering through binoculars) I like to conduct my business nice and slow, that way nothing gets by me.

James Bond

You are full of molasses, Turnov. I think you're stalling for time while trying to pry money from the British Government and you probably have nothing to tell us. (Turnov laughs out loud) The Americans have informed us of you're efforts to sell them bogus information. Don't try it with us because we won't be nearly as kind as the Americans.

Turnov

Come, come, Mr. Bond, you don't really believe the Americans, do you? Even you must realize they're going to keep anything they get from me to themselves. Or did you expect them to share it with you? Excuse me, Mr. Bond, I want to concentrate on this point. Notice the woman in the middle? (points to a tall brunette with a near perfect body) She is a Russian defector, the greatest Soviet volleyball player, male or female, of all times. I love my country but I, too, left when I knew she was leaving. That's how much I love the game of volleyball, and perhaps I should stress again that I love to watch the women play.

James Bond

I am not really interested in your love of the sport, Turnov, I want to know whether or not you have the information you said you had.

Man

Mr. Bond, (reaches into his pocket and takes out an envelope and hands it to Bond) - you're not as cool as legend has it.

James Bond

(accepting the envelope) Must be the green house effect - it's warming everthing up. When chaps like you open your mouth to speak, you eat away the ozone layers.

(across from Bond and Turnov a woman and a man look at them through binoculars they see Turnov hand James Bond an envelope Bond puts it in his jacket pocket and leaves, Turnov stays and watches the contest. The man and woman who is spying on Bond get up and follow him as he goes to his car, they see him get in and drive away they get in their car and follow. Bond looks in his rear-veiw mirror and see the car that he had noticed for the past week and speeds up a bit he drives into the country side and leads his persuers into a dead end. The couple get out of the car and they see James Bond standing their with a gun)

James Bond

Why are you following me? (he aims the gun at the man) You couldn't be professionals or you wouldn't have fall for this dead end trap. Come on speak up? (he looks as the man as he fumbles with his hat) Are you going to speak or not?

Man

My name is Frumton, Wilfred Frumton and this is Alice Towers and we represent someone trying to find you.

James Bond

Who want's to find me?

Alice Towers

Your son Mr. Bond.

(SCENE CHANGES TO BOND GIVING THE ENVELOPE TO MONEYPENNY)

James Bond

Is he in?

Miss Moneypenny

Yes and he is upset with you he said he told you not to waste time with that... (she is interupted by her superior,s voice)

Voice

Miss Monneypenny, is Bond out there? If he is you tell him to come in here yesterday.

Miss Moneypenny

Yes sir. You heard him James.

James Bond

Loud and clear I would like you to come by my place later on it's really important.

Miss Moneypenny

Oh James do you mean it?

Voice

Mr. Bond, you are on Company time now get in here. (he doesn't look up as Bond enters the room) Did you get what you were after?

James Bond

He gave me an envelope I gave it to Moneypenny to take to the lab.

M

We will have to put someone else on that case 007 because Her Majesty insist that you be put on this case.

James Bond

What case is that sir?

M

The future King has been abducted and her Majesty insits that you be put on the case.

James Bond

Who are we up against.

M

We will know when the envelope comes back from the lab. (enter Q)

Q

It's clear for you to look at it sir. (hands it to M he opens it and reads the note)

M

Bond it looks like you are headed Down under. It says here when James Bond comes after me he wil be diving into the lake of fire signed Impish Grinn.

James Bond

What were their demands for the return of the future King? (he hands Bond the note) This guy sounds rather spooky I will enjoy unraveling his game. Could I have a few days here sir? I need to straighten out a few things here first.

M

I am afraid that the Queen can't wait to have her grandson and Heir to the throne back.

James Bond

The note did say they were in no hurry to kill the future king.

M

It also said the purpose of the abduction was to brain wash the future king, into thinking the way that he Impish Grinn wants. I don't think Her Majesty wants her grandson in the clutches of that Madman, you read what he said he wants the soul of the future king. You are on the case as of now 007. I know Q has some interesting things to help you with your mission.

Q

James Bond

Sir, did any agency in the scocial department inquire about me.

(as they walk to the lab) Why Bond, have they finally figured out you are mad and is now coming to collect you? (Bond is unamused) I see you are humourless 007 and you should be, this is a grave period in British history and the Queen wants her grandson back. (they enter the lab)

Q

This 007 is a gun jammer.

James Bond

They look like spectacles to me.

Q

They are a variety of things for instance (he takes it apart and puts it in the shape of binoculars he takes it apart again) This is a transistor it is also a cycle that can go up to seventy five miles an hour.

James Bond

Belive me Bond, you will have to use it if you are going up against what I think you are. Kindly allow Q to show you what he has for you.

Q

(He picks up a bottle with some pills in it) These are some oxygen pills you could use them underwater for up to an hour then you must come up for air allowing your brain to go back to normal size.

M

Show him the one that you said would really nutralize Grinns powers.

I was about to get to that. (he looks at Bond) As you know Impish Grinn, is a master of illusion this is your equalizer. (he hands him what appears to be a small remote control) This 007 gives you the power of illusion. (he presses a button James Bond Dives as he gets M out of the way of a menacig Eagle Q starts to chuckle) Got you a 007 that's what I mean you thought you saw something attacking M it was this (he press it again and it looks like the celling is tumbling down on them Bond reacts to it again) It has many more features (he hands him a manual) you can read it on the concorde to Austrailia.

(BOND IS SITTING ON THE PLANE AND GOES BACK IN HIS MEMORY HE IS IN HIS SUITE WHEN HE IS VISITED BY WILFRED FRUMTON AND ALICE TOWERS. THEY ARE TRYING TO CONVINCE HIM THAT HE HAD A CHILD WITH A RUSSIAN AGENT HE ROMANCED TWENTY FOUR YEARS AGO)

Alice Towers

James Bond

I am very flattered that some young man with a vivid imagination dreamed me up as a daddy, but I must leave the country, my business calls for it.

Frumton

Truly Mr. Bond our organization checks out the people who come to us for help. If we didn't think that you were the father of the young man that hired us to find you we would not be here. Perhaps you would allow a blood test? You know they are some very sophisticated ways in determining if you are indeed the boy's father.

James Bond

I have invited someone over she must be held up. (the doorbell rings Bond goes and answers it) Moneypenny! I thought you would never get here. (grabs his jacket and leaves)

(Bond is brought back to the present when the flight attendant offers him something to drink, across the isle a young woman is reading a magazine but looking up at James Bond he notcices her and nods she pulls the magazine up and pretends she didn't see him when the plane landed their was someone there to meet Bond at the airport an Abrorigine dressed in a chauffer's uniform)

Driver

Mr. Bond! I am your driver I was sent to pick you up and take you to your hotel. (Bond looks at him and then hands him a brief case)

James Bond

Here, I will be right back. (he walks over to a phone booth as he is going over a man watches as he places a call. Bond then returns to the driver the woman who was on the plane with him passes and takes a quick picture of him and gets into the taxi) Driver follow that taxi.

Driver

I was given strict orders to bring you to meet with the head of security Mr. Bond. We must go now, they are waiting for us.

James Bond

What did you say your name is?

Driver

I didn't say.

James Bond

Why is it a secret?

Driver

(he smiles) Landish Boy.

James Bond

Well Mr. Boy, if you want to grow up to be a man you follow that taxi right away.

(he looks at Landish Boy in the mirror Boy turns to follow the taxi he reaches into the glove compartment and took out some powder in a bag he slows down at a light, turns around and blows it in Bond's face)

Landish Boy

It's the dream time Mr. Bond. (he watches as James Bond falls side ways on the seat then he turns up his radio and drives to the hillside the camera picks up on a car following him and then goes back to Landish Boy) Mr. Bond, I know your subconscious can hear me and this music makes a perfect background these are your final moments on Earth, you are about to enter the big dream the eternal sleep your death will make me an important player in Impish Grinn's great plan. (the camera pans the steep hillside) You will fall and break into a million pieces.

(he slows down then comes to a halt when he finds the spot that he wants to throw James Bond from he goes to the back of the car and drag Bond's lifeless body he picks up James Bond and is making his way to the edge of the hill when suddenly he feels James Bond giving him a blow to the spine they struggle at the edge of the cliff he throws a punch and hits Bond who almost falls but holds on to him and punches him in the stomach they roll around on the ground coming close to the edge of the mountain the car that followed them is getting closer a Blond man in his mid fourties get out of his car and walk up toward Bond and Landish Boy scuffling a few yards ahead of him. Landish boy is on top of Bond's Back and is forcing his face down in the rocks Boy reaches into his booths and pulls out a stellito and tries to stab Bond with it but Bond shook him off and as he rolls close to the edge Bond pushes the button on his watch and creates the illusion of a huge pre historic bird Landish Boy plunges to his death screaming)

James Bond

(straighting his tie then looks down) Never send a boy to do a man's job. (looks up, the Blond man is there with his I,D. in hand) Are you a friend of the deceased?

Match Garret

(looks down) The dearly departed and I have nothing to do with each other.

James Bond

 (watches the man reach into his pocket) I thought you were reaching for your gun.  I am unarmed.

Match Garret

I'm from 'AIA.....

James Bond

I gathered that much. You're from 'ere and I'm from there!

Match Garret

No, no! (shows his I.D.) I'm with A.I.A. See? Austrailian Intelligence Agency. (they walk towards his car) I know about you Bond, you have quite a fondness for the ladies. Well so do I and I like to keep them to myself so I want you to control your self while you are here... concentrate on the job at hand. Because if you make a mistake with Impish Grinn you will go the way of Landish Boy, he was one of Grinn's rising stars in his criminal network.

James Bond

And who was the girl that came on the flight with me?

Match Garret

What did she look like?

(SCENE SWITCHES TO THE BEAUTIFUL WOMAN SINGING IN THE SHOWER. SHE TURNS OFF THE WATER AND REACHES FOR A TOWELL. THERE IS A KNOCK AT THE DOOR, SHE WRAPS THE TOWELL AROUND HER AND PICKS UP HER ROBE ON THE WAY TO THE DOOR, WHERE A HOTEL BELLHOP HANDS HER A BASKET OF FLOWERS AND A BOTTLE OF WINE. SHE READS THE NOTE AND GOES TO THE PHONE)

(BOND AND GARRET ARE ON THEIR WAY TO THE HOTEL)

Best I warn you 'bout that fellow you just expired - His family, most of 'em anyway, work at the hotel you're about to check into. His father's the local "brusier" 'round 'ere. They call 'im Manish.
